英國倫敦泰晤士河上一座幾經重建的大橋，也是該河上28座橋樑中位於最下游的一座橋。地處倫敦塔附近，連線著南沃克自治市高街和倫敦市的威廉王大街。在歷史上被稱為倫敦的正門。老倫敦橋由科爾徹奇的彼得建造(1176～1209)，以代替羅馬晚期和中世紀早期先後建造的木橋。它的19孔橋拱跨度不同，架在大小不同的橋墩上，由於橋孔太窄，漲潮時河水往往形成一道道急流。最大的橋拱跨度為10.4米，最窄的為4.6米。在河中心的最大橋墩上還建有一座小教堂。竣工後3年，因火災嚴重損壞。以後又發生多次災難性事故，儘管如此，老倫敦橋一直是幾個世紀內居民區和商業區的交通紐帶，是倫敦泰晤士河上的渡橋。18世紀50年代，橋的很大一部分由C.拉貝利重建。19世紀20年代，將舊橋拆除，改建新倫敦橋，由倫尼設計，他的兒子建造。經8年施工，於1894年竣工通行。橋身由4座塔形建築聯接。新橋共有5個橋拱，其中位於河中間兩座主橋墩之間的拱跨度最大，達46米。兩座主橋基分別高7.6米，而橋基上又建有兩座花崗石和鋼鐵結構的方形5層高塔，兩座方塔上再建4座白色大理石尖閣和5座小尖塔，望去仿佛兩頂皇冠。兩座主塔各高42.67米。橋分上、下兩層，上面一層起支撐雙塔的作用，橋面為一條寬闊懸空人行道，兩旁裝有玻璃窗，行人登橋可欣賞泰晤士河景色。下層橋面可以開合，平時通車，橋桁開啟時可容萬噸船隻通過。每當巨輪通過時，只要高塔內機器一動，中間的橋面便一分為二，慢慢向上掀起，船過後，又慢慢落下，恢復通行。兩塊活動橋面，各重1000噸。倫敦塔橋是英國首都一大勝景，遊人可登橋觀看附近古城塔群景色，也可參觀設在主塔內部的博物館和展覽廳。原來舊橋的飾面石塊拆下後運到美國亞利桑那州哈瓦蘇湖城，砌在一座鋼筋混凝土橋的外面，以吸引周圍遊客。
