她玩的是簡單而純粹的搖滾樂，她從不把自己的性別當一回事，她是幾代搖滾女性的偶像。
Jett的音樂最明顯的標誌就是雪崩一樣的音量和無法抵抗的鉤子(指音樂中引人入勝的細節)，the Rolling Stones一樣精力充沛的形象和節奏，AC/DC一樣強大的和弦演奏。她堅持搖滾樂的傳統，但也不斷有所突破——她玩的是經典的三和弦rock & roll，然而她也喜歡某些被認為是垃圾的東西(比如Gary Glitter)。從他的第一支樂隊the Runaways到他在八十年代的金曲機器合作者the Blackhearts直至她在九十年代出人意料的成功復出，她的音樂從未改變過，她用這種方式保證音樂的品質，並用這種方式創造了經典("I Love Rock-n-Roll”)。
