蔡明中，漢族，1964年6月出生於江西南昌，中共黨員。現從事專業為有機化學和高分子化學，1997年7月畢業於浙江大學化學系獲理學博士學位，1998年10月破格晉升為教授。現任江西師範大學化學化工學院院長。1995年起任有機化學專業碩士生導師，2001年任高分子化學專業碩士生導師，2003年任套用化學專業碩士生導師，已指導碩士畢業生26名。研究方向是有機合成、高分子合成。2011年任有機化學博士生導師。
