王緝思

王緝思，男，1948年11月生於廣州，北京大學博雅講席教授，博士生導師。中國國際政治學家，著名美國問題學者。曾任北京大學國際關係學院院長。主要作品有《國際政治的理性思考》、《高處不勝寒：冷戰後美國的全球戰略與世界地位》等。

1983年獲碩士學位後在北京大學國際政治系任教，先後任講師、副教授、副系主任

1991年9月調入中國社會科學院美國研究所，任副所長

1993年12月至2005年3月任所長、研究員

2005年3月至2014年1月任北京大學國際關係學院院長

2014年1月因年齡原因卸任北京大學國際關係學院院長

社會職務

王緝思教授曾分別在英國牛津大學聖安東尼學院（1982-1983）、美國加利福尼亞大學伯克利分校東亞研究所（1984-1985）、美國密西根大學政治系（1990-1991）任訪問學者。2001年8-12月任美國加州克萊蒙·麥金納學院亞洲事務訪問教授。2002年1-2月任新加坡國防與戰略研究所拉賈拉南客座教授。美國哈佛大學亞洲中心、亞洲協會、太平洋國際政策理事會、史丹福大學亞太研究中心、布魯金斯學會東北亞安全項目、加州大學全球衝突與合作研究所等單位擔任顧問。

Professor WANG Jisi is dean of the School of International Studies, Peking University, and director of the Center for International and Strategic Studies, Peking University. He has been a member of the Foreign Policy Advisory Committee of the Foreign Ministry of China since October 2008, and president of the Chinese Association for American Studies since 2001.

After working as a laborer in the Chinese countryside in 1968-78, Wang Jisi entered Peking University and obtained an MA degree there in 1983. He was a visiting fellow or visiting professor at Oxford University (1982-83), University of California at Berkeley (1984-85), University of Michigan at Ann Arbor (1990-91), and Claremont McKenna College in California (2001). He taught in Peking University’s Department of International Politics (1983-91), and then served as director of the Institute of American Studies at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences until 2005 when he assumed the current position at Peking University. He was concurrently director of the Institute of International Strategic Studies at the Central Party School of the Communist Party of China from 2001 to 2009. He advises a few U.S. foreign policy think tanks, and is on the editorial boards of The American Interest, Global Asia, and many Chinese scholarly journals. Professor Wangs scholarly interests cover U.S. foreign policy, Chinese foreign policy, and Asian security. He has published numerous works in these fields.
